One of my little projects I got into over the last few months has been making bracelets from little elastic bands. I originally saw these on a YouTube video and really wanted to give it a go. So I looked through Ebay and manged to find some bands quite cheaply, and I was off! I got about 1000 in yellow, red, blue and green and then I got a little addicted and ended up buying a lot more in all different colours.
I got a little addicted to making them...I then realised that we were having a school disco at my youngest's school just before Christmas, and got the OK from the chair to sell my bracelets at them. They went down a storm! I was even taking orders from kids that wanted certain colour combinations. I also bought some little charms from Ebay, which the kids also really liked.
We had another disco last week. this time it was a Valentine's disco, so I ordered some red, pink and white bands from Ebay and some love/heart related charms and I kept making, and making and making.... And this was a little table at the disco :)
The other hearts in the picture were salt dough hearts I had made as a trial, coloured with sharpies and either decorated with stamps, or stuck little foam hearts onto. They went down really well too. But, as you can see from the pictures, I managed to do well selling the bracelets, and I actually sold out of them. And soon after, sold out of the salt dough hearts too! Was a good day for me, and I'm so glad the kids like them.

Getting Creative
Welcome to SH Crafts!
My name is Becca and I've started this blog to share my creations with you. I have been crafty since I was young, but not arty, and have really got back into it over the last year. My cousin and aunt both go to a craft group each week and would make such lovely things. Last year, their group did a Saturday Crop from 12-9pm. I signed up straight away!! That's where it all turned around for me. Spending the day learning craft lingo, seeing some of the amazing creations from the other ladies and just having a good old chatter! I then came home and told Mike about all the lovely things, and went shopping the next day for some new craft tools. I'm really excited as we have another crop on the 18th January!
So now that I have got the bug, I have been really enjoying making a multitude of cards, frames, bracelets and much more. So I wanted to have somewhere to share the things I make. I hope you enjoy!
